OK! I guess I'll have to explain my intentions to ward off assumptions. I have a HP CD READER which was manufactured by PLEXTOR. In order to change the firmware on ANY relabeled drive you must first change the device ID to correspond with the firmware you want to use. Thus, I am looking for...

TweakUI will do it, or you can open regedit and goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Network\Logon Create a String Value and name it Default Password, modify the data to correspond with your password. Reboot and it should automatically log you on. Word of Warning: Using either TweakUI or the registry...

Question on DSL network usin a Linksys router with 4 port switch;1 computer cant see the other from network neighborhood

Be sure they are in the same workgroup. Also try to find the computer (Start, Find, Computer)sometimes that will show other PC's on the local network when the browse list isn't.

Partitioning Outbound DSL Bandwidth

You will need about 384Kbps to achieve 40K sec. So if I read your post correctly a 128Kbps line isn't enough.
