i have a p4 2.26 and only 256RAM with a crap mx440 video card and PVR-250 tuner card. it runs fine but i don't use HD and wish i had more RAM and better video card.

i want to back up most of my files (media, data etc) from my windows HDD to a new 160gb that i got. if i copy all the files i want to keep to the new HDD, which is now installed, will i be able to access all the data when i reinstall windows on the other HDD? will windows recognize the HDD...
