Connecting with DSL in Linux

Connecting to the Internet (with Linux, over LAN)

I have Debian 2.2r3, kernel 2.4.16 and a Netgear FA310TX. I took my box home with me over Christmas break, and during that time I wiped my FreeBSD partition and repartitioned/reinstalled Linux (to take up the FreeBSD space). Anyway, now I'm back at school and can't get on the internet in linux...

pppd dies with Linux kernel 2.4.16 (but works fine with 2.2.16)

Alright, I got PPP working right now, but now a new problem: XMMS. XMMS is installed, but it won't play any MP3s. If i go to Preferences, there are no Input plugins listed (libOSS is the only Ouput plugin, which is fine). Why weren't any Input plugins built / how do I get libmpg123 plugin?

Computer beeps and power light blinks after a few hours...?

Hola. For the last few days (maybe a week, not entirely sure) my computer starts beeping at me continously, and the power light blinks after the computer has been turned on for a few hours. It still runs while it's doing this, but very sluggishly. If i simply reboot, it runs fine for a few hours...

Models in Q3 & RTCW are messed up (Linux)

I have a GeForce3, Debian 2.2r3 and kernel 2.4.10. I installed the nvidia drivers (version 1541 i believe) and installed Quake3 and Return to Castle Wolfenstein Linux clients, but when I start them and get into a game, the models are completely messed up. Colors are wrong, things are flashing...

Can't get nVidia drivers working with Linux

Linux locks up hard (no mouse, no ctrl-alt-del)...
