only recognizing 1gig ram?

yes I only have 2 slots because its a micro mb but it says i can have up0 to 2 gigs in it , both mobo and ram are completely new.

well tried updating bios didn't work, even cpu-z recognizes 1gig only both ram work, when using only one

I have an ecs rc410 motherboard and I just installed another gig of ram, I already had 1gig and it only recognized about 512mb of it, now that i've installed the second gig it only recognizes 1gig. I have an onboard radeon express 200 and has 256mb ram in it. I used cpu-z to check how much ram...

yeah im not really much of an Overclocker but I was thinking of getting a Venice Core im ight just go ahead with that, any more opinions, I have only tried one videocard brand which is ATI and im very satisfied with it, does the 6600gt out performance the 9800?
