Is my temp too high??

thanks jcmkk. i used arctic III on the cpu. my usual temp is about 43 degrees, i think. i'm using the fan that came with the alpha. i'll try your tip. x

i can't figure it out. i have an antec 1030 with four fans (2front2back). it should be cooler!!!!!!!!!:disgust:

i love my 120gxp. no probs. and i don't expect any. this is a different drive with different technology and was built when they knew about the previous problems. ibm won't discuss the other drive because of the law suit. it would be tough for them to win the suit if they admit on the board...

IBM HDs should I be worried?

i wouldn't even bother with the fitness test. i've had drives crash that looked fine on the test. i just told ibm, "the drive's messed up" and they replaced it. x

Help with installing cat 5 cable outside

I need to run some cat5 cable along the outside of a building. i was looking at the outdoor rated cable and also considering using conduit with UTP. what do you think is best? also, what else do i need? do i need a surge protector of some sort? and where would i put it? i'm new at this...
