I wonder if the 4850 would work on this mobo and if so how much of a performance hit it would take on the x4 pci-e bus. I would like to upgrade from my x1950pro agp to hold me over until I figure out what to do when nehalem comes out. Also im curious on the power draw between the two cards.
I was looking into the fan to molex connector with the rpm sensor wire but my cpu fan is a four pin fan. not a 3 pin. I dont think these adapters would work with a stock intel fan with 4 pins?
Quick question. Whats the max RPM on Intels Stock cooler when it runs at 100%? I disabled Smart fan in the bios and it says the fan is running at 1700rpm.
I couldnt find a CPU-PCIE async setting in my bios but I do have the PCIE set at 100mhz and the agp/pci bus set at 66/33mhz respectively. It doesn't matter what cpu frequency I set. Anything higher than 236 the system just wont boot. I get a black screen and have to restart the system a few...
I am using the 4CoreDual-SATA2 with the latest bios of 1.70 which I think gives a bit different bios options. I'm using 2gb of DDR2 667.

Also I have no SATA drives installed. All are IDE. x2 hard drives and x2 dvd-roms. I'm beginning to think its either the memory or the combination...
Is that with or without the BSEL mod?
I have an E4500 and cant boot past 236fsb, so I just left it at stock. Haven't a clue why either. I have tried different combinations of bios settings but with no avail. I even flashed to the newest 1.70 bios by ASrock. I'm happy at stock. It runs circles...
Were you able to get your OC without the BSEL mod? For some reason I can't even get the machine to boot past 236fsb. I'm not exactly sure if there are any other bios settings I can tweak with or not as I am not too thrilled about doing the BSEL mod to get to 266fsb. Your system specs are fairly...
Alright I set the AGP and PCI-express accordingly but I still cant get the system to boot over 236 fsb. Anything higher it just wont boot. So I got my E4500 running at 236 or 2.6ghz.
EDIT:
well the system crashed while I was browsing on the net. I ended up putting everything back to...
I see. In the bios the 12v rail shows up as 11.8v. I was just worried that I'm under powering my system.
As for overclocking I tried bumping the FSB from 200 to 266. I rebooted and was greeted to a black screen. I had to clear the cmos jumper to get it to boot again. Could this be due to the...
Hi, I just bought the 4CoreDual-SATA2 board and I have a few questions. What utility do you guys recommend for viewing voltages? Mines reading quite low with AIDA32 and im not sure if its something I should worry about. Also I would like to do a modest oc. Maybe running my E4500 @ 1066 fsb. So...
