Got my 1GB 4870.

Dennilfloss, You should try out the new 8.10 beta's. I have a HIS 4870 1GB card and these new drivers are great. They also include Fan Control right in CCC on the Overdrive tab.

Zod you should try the 8.10 betas they are really good. I have: Shuttle SD39P2 E6600 @ 3Ghz 4GB Ram HIS 4870 1GB Windows XP Pro and the drivers were much smoother in games for me, along with slight increase in fps as well. This is gaming at 1920x1200 on my Dell 24" monitor.

I think Vaktathi got his links messed up. I see a normal HIS 4870 512MB for $270 and then a HIS O/C 4870 512MB for $300 There is a HIS 4870 1GB card (I bought one) but it's at normal clocks for $300. The card is slightly faster the the Visiontek 4870 512MB I had before, smoother in game...

I hate Cops...

I'd be a "dick" to if I had to deal with low life scum my whole work day. But seriously, show teh cop some respect, answer his questions, address him formally, and your all good. The more additude you give a cop the more your ass will be in trouble. I always love watching those shows...

Poll:Is being 450+ pounds handicap?

Um no, I don't think some guy/gal that weighs 450+ should be given a handicap spot. Hell if I were handicapped and I saw some 450+lb person taking my spot I'd throw down! It comes to the fact like many have said above, they ate their way to 450+lbs, you are just encouraging them to be even...

2 Weeks Notice (For a job)...

As far as I recall when another business calls for refs on a formor employee all you have to tell them is that they worked for you and the dates, nothing more. But I always tell the new employer my experiences with the employee whether they are good or bad.

2 Weeks Notice (For a job)...

Never burn your bridges. Give the company two weeks notice. You never know when something may happen and you need a job back. More so if a year from now or so you apply for a new job and someone from the former management works at the new place. They will remember you walked in and said "see ya...
