Win7 update ruined my Local Area connection?

Theres a curtain update that redoes windows update to auto remove it if you had it for windows 7. Security center and programs and features would point you to skip it. If its not the driver it maybe ip stack, just rebuild it.

Never-mind bridging if you got tv service too. just use as you say, asus as a AP. bridging it may kill your tv service.

AT&T does only 2 techs. Fiber and various versions of DSL. Sounds like you got fiber as the modem has a coax. Thats for broadcast tv which can go threw the fiber then to coax. I dont think they use it for any kind of cable tech like DOCSIS. The Coax is for broadcast tv if you had the service...

I suggest the power line adapter to the asus router if you still have it. The att modem sucks, Id bridge it. When you connect the asus router, put it central and connect to it from now on. Its packed with range and features that the you could only dream about with the att modem/router. The...

HELP me choosing Memory for NOCTUA NH-D15 PLEASE!

I have the NH-D14 which is similar in design. Due to the metal brackets mounting to the front of Heat sink you can mount the fan higher if need. Just slides up a little. The fan sits higher but makes for better RAM clearance. Here is a example with NH-D15:

Cheapest stable dual band router?

The USB devices I recommend is $25 each now. I have one TP-Link USB adapter for an older PC and have no latency issues at all playing retro games on the network. Be sure to use the extension cord that come with it to get away from pc as interference is bad for both pcie and USB.
