I'm trying to establish as open and clear a path as I can from my home network to the 'net. The point behind it is to make sure the path from my gaming consoles to their online services is as open as possible, with as little security in the way as possible. I'm not too concerned with security...

Wanting to minimize latency as much as possible. Tips?

One more thing - I have the option of setting up the repeater as a wireless bridge instead. I'm not sure what the difference there would be. Would that help? I can easily connect both PS3 units to a wireless bridge.

Great info, thanks. What is a good troubleshooting tool I can use to monitor my network for jitter, and just overall pertinent performance information? Any suggestions? I'm basically just testing with default commands right now like tracert, ping, etc. Nothing fancy at the moment.

Hooking up headphones to monitor?

I think your best option is to use headphones plugged into your Xbox instead. I think you can do that and output the video to the monitor at the same time without any problems.

Thanks for the info. I have mouse acceleration off and the windows setting at 6. Unfortunately that leads me to think that high DPI is almost pointless if that's the way to use a mouse, because I can't use higher than 1800 without it just being all over the place. I guess another way to put it...
