XPS M1330 CCFL and LED Interchangeability?

I'm planning on replacing the LCD panel (lid and bezel - do I need anything else?). I'm reverting to the CCFL because of cost issues. I forgot to mention in my initial post but my LED screen is cracked. The price difference between an LCD and CCFL screen is about $200, which I can't justify...

XPS M1330 CCFL and LED Interchangeability?

Hi, I am wondering if it is possible to use the CCFL LCD in my XPS M1330 which was shipped with the LED backlight. I will also be getting a new lid and bezel while I am at it. Will I run into any issues? Are the plugs in the motherboard any different between the two LCDs? Thanks.

Laptop Problem with LCD

Thanks for the reply. I actually took the laptop apart and reseated the cable the other day and I did see an improvement. However, when I reseated the cable, I also cleaned the inverter so I couldn't pinpoint which one was the culprit. What happens if the inverter is bad? Doesn't that just...

Yup, like FFFBlackImage said, Fry's is having their anniversary sale and they have the E5200 and MSI G31 mobo for $80. An interesting note is that they have a new combo at the same price; E5400 and a Biostar G31 motherboard. Should I get the E5400 or the E5200?!?

Macbook ejects CDs by itself...

And another thing is that I tried pushing CTRL without the CD in the computer and it goes to the screen that shows the harddrive. I'm guessing that something is messed up with my cd drive...
