Try throwing the old board back in to rule out the possibility of something else having gotten jacked up while installing the new one.
If it's still a problem with the new mobo, then do the usual trouble shooting....
Run it with bare minimum like memory and video. If it's still not showing...
If there's no existing connection at the house.
Your options are to:
1) Sign up for wireless internet through you cell phone provider.
2) Get a dial up account and plug into the wall.
3) Hope that grandma has some neighbors willing to let you use their wireless connections.
he's saying that when you install the mobo, make sure you use the included metal risers to lift it off of the case. if the back of the mobo is touching the case it'll short (but i like to call it FRY) your motherboard and possibly other componenets.
I didn't know that DSL let you run 2 off of the same modem, that's cool.
In order to share one modem w/ 2 computers on cable you're going to need a router. The modem would plug into the router, then you just run ethernet from the router to each computer.
Or you can get a Wireless router...
I don't now what Force ASPI is but what problem is it giving you when you just point it to the drivers for your MP3 player?

I don' t see how that could be video card related. If anything it's probably your motherboard or XP going wonky. Has it been an ongoing thing or did it start happening recently ?

You're right about the extra stick taking it out of dual-channel. There would be a speed hit but i don't know how much.
As to which is better it really depends on what you're doing. if it's just kicking around in windows than more is better. For game performance, dual channel w/ 1 gb may...

If it is then it doesn't even look like MSI sells the case seperately, it's just a barbones system. Pretty cool case though, looks like a stereo.
Seconding the Kingwin 424 case, i have a similar one from Kingwin.
It looks sturdy and cool, and it's not obscene like the Thermaltake's.
Just my opinion though.

Good rule to go by is that fans on the front should pull air in so it can pass over the components, then have the rear fans pushing the air out. Top and side fans can go either way.
I prefer to have more air being pushed out than in but there's nothing solid to support that.
