Desktop APUs didn't get a mention. Over 18 months since 3400G/3200G were launched. There should be something on the horizon by now, at the very least, especially as AMD promised that DIY could get their hands on Renoir soon (but that was already 6 months ago).
According to Hallock display and...

Wrt AMD's positioning, it's going up against the 10600 which is being sold over here for +/- €200. Currently the 4650G costs a little less.
The computerbase article still says it will be for sale in October but the shop I checked has changed the delivery date to starting from November 16.
Hopefully (desktop) Renoir will be available at US/EU retailers early November (also on the 5th?).

=> the DeskMini X300 has been designed for Renoir and will be for sale in October.
I had a look around and found a shop that will deliver starting from October 12.
The wait for an APU that...
Any idea when they won't be "OEM only" any longer?
In July AMD said that they are planning a consumer-grade release of APUs ‘soon’.
Seeing Computex was originally postponed from early June to September 28-30 (and later moved to next year) I guessed that date qualifies as "soon" or October 8...
HDMI 2.0 according to Asus.
Specifically, PN50 will pump 8K visuals at up to 30Hz via a single DisplayPort and at up to 60Hz through DisplayPort Dual-Mode (DP++)"
No 48Gb/s HDMI 2.1, 4K60 max.
Won't see APUs with RDNA2 before discrete GPU products with RDNA3; so yes Rembrandt for the next major uptick and Cezanne only gets a minor (graphics) bump/focus remains on CPU. Looks like desktop APUs are the unwanted stepchild that cannot be allowed to cannibalize AMD's entry-level GPUs. APUs...
It already was a bit of a letdown that Renoir is Vega-based. Schedules not lining up was the excuse given back then (yet Cezanne is rumoured to be Vega-based as well, whatever is scheduled it will be minor, and it will take until Rembrandt for the focus to shift to graphics). Still, with APUs it...
A bit disappointing wrt Cezanne, still Vega. After Cezanne the focus will shift to improving the iGPU part. Rembrandt will be the first (desktop) APU with RDNA2 (and Zen 3+: TSMC 6nm, DDR5/LPDDR5, USB4, PCIe 4.0).
Are HDMI 2.1 and AV1 (decode) expected for desktop Renoir (DCN 2.1 <=> 2.0 in Navi and VCN 2.5 <=> 2.0 in Navi)? It sounds like Tiger Lake will support AV1 decoding.
B550 boards with HDMI 2.1 will soon be available. E.g. Aorus Pro (supporting a maximum resolution of 4096x2160@60 Hz; support...
