laptop video question

well my other problem is that i dont have the cd software that came with this laptop? im not sure where my dad has his stuff for it right now. so anyways, im running xp home on this laptop. ok well here is what the computer says under device maniger. for display. NVIDIA Geforce4 420...

laptop video question

hi, i have a toshiba laptop, and the video card on it is a nvidea gfroce 4 420 go card. is there updated drivers for laptop vdeo cards, and dose it make any improvments.? sorry iv never done anything with laptops so im not sure if there are actuall drivers you can up date on these things...

hey, thanks for the link. did they just come out with mobo with 1000mh fsb just these last 2 months? because i think i was lookin before and they didnt have them with AGP, only with the PCI express slot. thanks for the link SlitheryDee. now for a good priced to speed ratio chip to plug into...

well yes, i would plan to upgrade my chip as well. but just the mobo, and chip. and then put my video card in and my memory,

ok thansk for all the different options guys, now with a mobo/chip upgrade, what kind of performance increas am i going to see over the setup i have now? like wow what a huge differents or not much? and what if i just waited around to get a whole swap out, mobo,chip,vidcard, would you guys...

so im probebly just better off keeping my system the way it is and then when i have the money just get a pci-e video card and mobo, and a good AMD chip then huh. sorry to start this thread but i have been out of the computer thing sins last summer, and just figured id like to here from you...

sorry about that t3h but that is all i would really want to upgrade right now. i gues to that it will have to have an agp port as well so i can continue to use my x800 pro card. just gameing is all it will be used for..
