Alan Wake II on gtx 1080ti

Read that DXVK will boost performance on old Pascal, tempted to try it out on my end. Graphics are broken on Vega cards and Polaris is getting like 1 frames per second.

8GB VRAM not enough (and 10 / 12)

I'm running a 16GB card here, they obviously compromised on the graphics engine to facilitate 8GB, not sure if the pop-in is worse on 8GB cards. It's very disappointing that this game is touted as the latest graphics marvel by the likes of Digital Foundry and suffers from such noticeable LOD...

Not impressed with AW2, It might be pushing some of the latest heavy graphical tech but the cartnooney trees along with it's ugly LOD pop-in breaks the presentation for me, running through the forest with constant LOD changes on the trees a few feet away is very noticeable. It's not even an open...

Question 6900xt, 5600x, 3600mhz 16 cas memory, and only getting 190 fps in Valley in 1440P????

RAM is generic Corsair Vengence LPX 3600 cl18 running XMP, 5800x is running PBO with a slight undervolt. Score gained with 2 more sticks will depend on if your RAM is currently tuned and if they're already dual rank or single rank sticks. If you're GPU limited you won't see much gains, gains...

6900XT totally CPU bound in Valley on a 5800x at these settings, I do have an extra 2x16gb 3600MHz ram sticks so I can run in dual rank for a boost in performance but I'm just too lazy to install it.

Thanks, I'll consider reflashing it if I ever upgrade my monitor and still can't see the post screen or enter the BIOS with HDMI or DP to see if that's the fix. Right now it post via VGA and I can see the post screen and enter the BIOS, when it loads windows it auto flips to HDMI, otherwise it's...

Question Switched to AMD for the first time (*)... Sapphire Pulse RX 6700 review on YT.

Chipset is X570. I'm pretty sure it's not a chipset and GPU issue as someone else with a 6650XT and Z690 has the same issue with the same monitor. Also this doesn't seem to be isolated to the RX 6000 series, it goes back to the RX 5000 series as well. Issue mostly appears to crop up with an AMD...

CSM disabled, secure boot enabled. No post with HDMI, or DP to HDMI. Just DP to VGA works, I would assume HDMI to VGA would work too but I don't have one on hand.

Steelrising is another game. 8GB is only good enough for medium textures even for sub 1080p resolution and medium textures is actually the games "lowest texture setting", which has some ugly looking low res textures. Using high textures or above on 8GB will introduce texture streaming issues...

This also breaks the DLCs for those games regardless if singleplayer content, the DLCs require online checks to work, Ubisoft shutting down thier servers will lock you out of the DLCs you paid for. The deluxe/complete edition you paid for is now the bog standard edition.

The lifelessness of the random NPCs is just killing the immersion for me, they walk and bump into each other or random objects, don't react to my movements until i'm right in their eyes, half of them have no lip movement. Very poor compared to RDR2. This is comical, they had no problem...

Cyberpunk 2077

Well I picked up the game on a whim. Running mix settings of mostly medium and a few high, settled with Static Fidelityfx CAS at 85, so that's 2176x1224 res. Targeting that magical 60fps on the 1080Ti, even if I do cause mayhem in the city. Game still looks very sharp on my tiny 24 inch 1440p...
