I picked up a QV-3000 just before leaving for Europe, and this camera is an improvement on it: nice features and well spoken of at
Steves DigiCams and DP-Preview.
'Had to return my QV-3000 due to problems, but I think it was that unit, not the company, or there'd be more warnings in the...
Maha C204F is great -- gave mine away and regretted it as the replacement I bought wasn't as satisfactory -- too bulky, although it does charge C/D/9v's as well. The 204 may be limited to AA/AAA but it's pocket-size so it travels well.
Sad to have missed NewEgg deal as I need something small...
<< I have this monitor and I love it, the only problem is that it's beginning to become discolored in one corner after about a year and a half. Sadly, I don't THINK there's anything I can do. It's only about an inch or two, so I can live with it. Any ideas what may have caused this or what I...
I'm interested in the Model #: Samsung hasn't offered a 36" HDTV
as far as I've heard -- and I don't find it on their web site (but not having
all one's products covered there wouldn't be a "first").
They do make a TV that's between regular and HDTV: the TXK3679.
Higher resolution, but not up...
<< the deal is still on @ Dell until next week
the price is somewhere around $43 + tax
in Small Biz section >>
Thank you! Odd that Small Biz offers it and not
the other division... but... I can cope. :)
<< Drive from OD was a D740X-6L. Had ATA133 sticker on box, this has the fluid bearings... >>
I believe you are wrong: Both 740's are 133, and it's the SECOND letter that must be L.
6L060L3 == Fluid Dynamic Bearing; 6L060J3 == regular
Both are fine drives, however....
For the record: I ordered the Pioneer 106s/2 from Nova Ova.
I'm uncertain how my new maze of wiring will work-out, but it will be fun to learn.
- I've ordered a poor-man's 8500-AIW:
the Radeon 8500-retail (great prices of late!) and
the ATI TV Wonder
- And added an...
A Pioneering concensus is developing. I've been staring at that Newegg 106s/2 for a week, but they're out out out!! :( (I've been on the email list for notification of available.)
Gnus flash!! They've just come back in stock... poor, poor wallet....
Thanks for the help!
(A toss-up whether this is general H/W or video Q, but I'll post here. I've scanned the forum and don't see it discussed elsewhere here.)
Is there any concensus as to what ATAPI DVD's are most reliable/compatible at a decent price? Or is there a standard site recommended for...
Out of curiosity: since Gateway doesn't identify the cpu/memory speeds, how can one be certain this is a full-speed 8500? Their site is a bit unsettling in its vagueness.
I -thought- I could wait until the Next Big Price Drop, but this was too much: I placed an order. Then... pangs of guilt...
pcmall lists that (backordered) while several others
list it for $750-$799. [Pcmall -may- charge $110 s/h,
however...] Think I'll first put my $$ into a Segway
bid.... :P
(Am I the last to see these ads? Apologies if so!)
<< The PS is an Enhance 300 watt. There was a link in one of the previous 4 pages of this thread. I originally saw the PS you are referring to on AMD's site but that is not the right one. >>
Thanks! I missed any earlier reference. The P/S I cited is the one Newegg lists for all the...
Perhaps someone who has received their case can answer my question based on what they received:
- For the Evercases, Newegg lists a "300W" P/S but shows a 250w product code with the EverCase: Enhance ATX1125BTA.
- For the Chieftech cases, the Enhance ENP-0730 300w P/S is noted.
Either I...
<< I got the drive today and low and behold it is th ATA133 fluid bearing model. The model number for the unit is D740X6L040J2. The box indicated it to be ATA100 and Kit: ST0154000U.Specifications
I hope all of this doesn't ruin your day KlineD. >>
 WTH??? Someone is confused...
<< I don't know if $80 plus tax for a 40gig 5400 is a good deal... considering that you could get a 80 gig 5400 maxtor OEM for $130 from computer geeks. If its a 7200 then it's a good deal... IMO >>
The disk he's cited in the title is a 7200. The one he purchased 4 months ago was a 5400.
