According to JVC's web site, the MSRP is $529.95 here is a link. But no one ever buys things at MSRP (do they??) and who knows when this was released, I bet that the list price has gone down since then.

My Opinion On Piracy

I have two things to say, 1 - This should have been posted in off topic and 2 - If Micro$oft added anti-piracy stuff to its software, why didn't they lower the price?

the calc 3 curriculum varies alot between schools, some schools have almost no vector stuff, while some have almost all vector.

What exactly drains batteries in a CD Player?

I would not be supprised if decoding mp3s take more power than a regular CD, but this is only a guess. The AC addapter will not charge the batteries in the unit, it will simply bypass them, that is unless being able to charge batteries is a feature of this player, but I don't think it is.
