If I create a new account on the imac, then I can connect to my imac from windows just fine. I called Apple support and they determined that something was flakey with my main user account on the imac. I can delete this user account and start using a new one. I'm not real spyched to move all...

FIle sharing between a Mac ibook and a Win2k workstation?

For OSX 10.1 I liked using an ftp client on my Windows machine to connect to the mac. Just have TCP/IP working on both machines and enable FTP Access under Sharing in the System Preferences.

I can browse my Windows 2000/xp computers (on a peer to peer workgroup) from my imac but not the other way around. Any tips?

bad RAM caused win2k profile to move to .bak folder

My customer's RAM module went bad. While using the module, he was able to boot to Win2k pro with varying degrees of success. Sometimes would bluescreen, sometimes could get to desktop but with many errors. Replacing the RAM fixed this, however when we logged in, it was as if he was a new...

replacing fan on retail Athlon slot A

scrambled drive letters

I'm stumped by a friend whom I cleaned the klez virus for where his machine's Drive letters changed. His floppy was A: and is now B:, and his internal ZIP was D: and is now A:. It worked fine while I was there and I'm pretty sure it's a separate issue than the virus. Anyone have any insight...

Computer turn on??? How long?
