I'm using Crucial Ballistix PC-3200. Stock speed; will over clock once I have every thing cleaned up. This or the OCZ would be a very good choice for high end memory.

I skipped a PCI slot from the Vidcard just for the reason you mentioned; my Audigy 2ZS is in PCI 2-- Click on Large Picture
Just running a 6600GT, but it's nice and cool. I haven't OC'd yet, but I'm looking forward to the results!
Seasonic SS-460....VERY good PSU; so quiet I can't hear it at all above the case fans...probably going to switch those out to something quieter.
This is a great board. My first AMD system--crossing over from the dark side.:o
Short answer: No, The orientation cannot be changed; the bracket only allows for one direction.
Long answer: I emailed Thermalright about the Neo4/XP-120 combo and they said the same thing, "you 'may' loose the first DIMM slot due to the heat pipes". I went with the XP-90 and installed it...
I just attached mine to a Neo 4 MSI board; same issue with the orientation--only one way to install it. Thermalright's instructions didn't address orientation btw.
I was wondering the same thing about the Artic Silver--I've always spread it over the entire heatsink/cpu. I put a thin layer...
I did some more research on the MSI website; this ram should be fine. They've tested and approved the Corsair ram and it's non-ECC; ~ specs as well.
Have to wait until tomorrow anyway; got the MB and CPU...but the ram and vidcard were delayed.
Thanks for all the responses; I'll let you...
I ordered from Newegg because they had them available first...Bought @ $169...had them lower it to $159 when the price dropped 30 minutes after I placed my order. Bought my 3500+ from ZZF though...your comment is making me cringe. This will be my first purchase from ZZF--i hope i don't have...
I just called customer service and told them I'd just ordeded it, it hadn't shipped yet, they dropped the price--could you please credit my account the difference. All said with a great deal of charm...;)
The other option would be to cancel the order, re-order or buy from ZZF. I've always...
I contacted Thermalright with that question: They said it the 120 would fit, but you 'may' loose one DIMM slot.
I went with an XP-90; the 120 was not that much better to justify loosing a Ram slot IMO.
Dang...That's a really good system. I waited for this board, but i wasn't going to spend that kind of money for a vid card. I went with a 6600GT (Leadtek). You should be more than happy with that system!
Dang, I thought I ordered the correct memory for this board, but now I'm not sure!! I contacted Crucial and they said that the board needs ECC memory not non-ECC...Can anyone help me out here? If this won't work I'll have to pull that from my NE order....Thanks!!!
