I've been mining for more than 5 years, but recently ran into very strange problem. I assembled four new rigs with MSI 470 cards and Corsair RM1000x PSUs. They worked flawlessly for two months, and then one day one rig went offline. Fans didn't spin, it was fully off. I checked all the cables...

Is it possible to run HTPC without HDD/SDD/MC?

Thanks for the replies. I guess it will take a lot of learning before I am able to perform these installs, but I'll give it a try.

Is it possible to run HTPC without HDD/SDD/MC?

I thought I read somewhere that you can store HTPC OS on a network HDD? Is this possible?

AMD E-350 vs Intel Celeron (G530?) for HTPC build

AMD E-350 vs Intel Celeron (G530?) for HTPC build

Both systems would cost almost the same, with Intel (with MSI mini ITX board) being just a bit more expensive. Would both of these be equally suited for HTPC, or maybe one of these would have an advantage in some areas?

6P6C and 4P4C compatibility

I managed to connect everything, but still have occasional problems. Phone cables have 4 wires that are a bit thicker than wires in CAT5 cable for example. This means they can not fit fine in keystone modules. That's why I had to remove the isolation, because only bare wires would fit in...

4x2GB 2133 vs 2x4GB 1600

I own 2x2GB Geil 2133 MHz kit, and am about to upgrade to 8GB. Should I try to find the same kit as I already own, and expand to 4X2GB, or it would be better to choose 2x4GB 1600 MHz? Higher frequency 2x4GB kits are still hard to find where I live.

My problem is that I have phone cable with 4 wires, but I received by mistake 6P6C keystone moduels instead of 6P4C, so I don't know if I can still use them?

Media server build - advice needed

I am about to build my media server, and am still undecided which hardware to use. Case will be Silverstone LaScala LC10. It has 7 3,5" bays, which will be enough. That's why motherboard needs to have 8, or at least 6 SATA ports. I am going to also use one PCI surveillance card, so obviously...

Need advice on phone line splitting
