yes that is how i used it for "ages" but got so annoyed of moving it all the time. When I need a new project, needed to move 200-300GB from a slow HDD.

Ah AMD was for me always such a no-go. After having Intel/Nvidia all my life made last year an exception and built nice AMD+AMD setup. First gone the graphic card, then rest now sits in the workshop because either CPU or mainboard is causing it to BSOD for no reason.

Wanted to add a little followup. Now I discovered that SSDs in software RAID (dynamic disk) are not maintained properly, as in TRIM etc. It got so bad that PC started severely lock up and performance of one of the disks dropped to about 7kB/s. So a bit heads up, do not use dynamic disk with SSD...
