That's the easiest question I've had all day. Since I'm buying for my workstation (read: not server) I don't want to spend a fortune for fast drives and then have to wait another 20 seconds or so every time I bootup for the SCSI BIOS to load. Granted - server no problem going SCSI...

I'm surprised nobody mentioned the 5 YEAR WARRANTY that comes with these sick puppies. I've got two 36GB in RAID0 and my I/O is sick. 8m30s on a stopwatch for Windows XP install.

I've got the same problem....sort of. Windows boots into the desktop, but sits at the wallpaper for about 45 seconds before the explorer shell loads. During this time I can CTRL+ALT+DEL and look around - my CPU is about 1% load, and there is virtually no disk activity. It's almost behaving as...

UPDATE: Provantage WILL honor their pre-order 6800 price

I picked one up at Fry's last week for $397, and would rather hang onto it versus packing it up, driving to Fry's, and waiting in their excruciating long return line, and waiting until the 20th to get the same card from Provantage. If someone wants my Provantage deal, let me know.
