MAFIA: game problem.......

ok, slogun, i presently have the 40.72 drivers, so im rolling back to the 30.82, just in case thats the problem. I ran a full virus scan with the latest definitions, and got NOTHING. so i don't think it can be a virus. chizow, i searched the symantec site for the error, but there were like 975...

ok, dude, my bad......i actually upgraded my rig recently. fergot to update the info on da site.......well, now i have a gainward 128MB ti4200, plus an xtra 512MB of ram.........so that can't be the problem, can it?

i'm on WINXP professional, and i just recently purchased a gainward gf4 ti4200 128MB. although most of my games work alrite, i just installed RALLY TROPHY today, and it said 'NO SUITABLE 3D DEVICES FOUND'. similarly, i also installed 3dmark-2001, and it said 'directX 8.0 compatible 3d card not...

i really need one, check out my situation: i have at present 340$, and i hope to collect some more by sellin some electronics around the house ;).....i have 2 choices on wht to spend the money on...... my present 3dcard sucks (s3 savage4) and to play the latest games is a TERROR! the games dont...

can my rig handle a radeon 8500?
