Just got a Samsung 971P, black line through the center

Well, if I disconnect the monitor from the computer, and turn it on, the "Check Signal Cable" box that floats around on the screen gets the same black line through it whenever passing through the center, so I'm pretty sure it's the monitor. I guess I'll just send it back.

Just got a Samsung 971P, black line through the center

The refresh rate is at 60hz...don't know where to get to the "Vertical Rate"? And I had a CRT monitor hooked up to this computer before today. It worked fine, so I really don't think it's the video card. So if it's not this vertical rate, it's defective? How do I get to vertical rate?

Just got a Samsung 971P, black line through the center

I just got a brand new Samsung SyncMaster 971P LCD monitor from my parents, and when I hooked it up, everything seems fine except for the fact that there is a dark line going horizontally through the center of the screen. It is lighter when there is a white background, but it is still present...

Major Network Problems

Monitor loads up to Windows fine, then messes up

So my family has a computer that has worked perfectly for a year and a half, and suddenly today when I was using it, the monitor went blank and said "No input". I checked all the cables, restarted the computer, and the monitor shows all the BIOS screens, loading screens, and Windows XP loading...

Internet troubles...

A Linksys Router. To update, I recently bought a Linksys modem to hope to fix this issue; it didn't fix the problem at all. this is REALLY starting to aggravate me; any ideas? I think my router model number is BEFSR41.

I have been playing World of Warcraft a lot lately, and have been getting just...plain disconnected at least once or twice a day. It doesn't happen unless I am playing online games...I really don't know why it happens, but it is incredibly annoying when I get d/ced in the middle of a Blackwing...

CD burner problems

Earlier today, I was burning some cds. I accidently had an already burned cd in, and told it to burn, and it said cannot burn. So, I just took out the cd and put in a clean one. But when I try to adjust speed, it says max speed is 16x. Wtf?

Trouble setting up home network

I have two computers. One has XP Home, the other has XP Pro. They are connected together by a router, which is also hooked up to my Xbox, but I don't think that matters for this. I have run the Network Setup Wizard countless times; but all I manage to do is get this: Picture It looks the same...
