diamond and sapphire use the exact same cooling solution. i have a feeling it really is the cooling cause under full load my HIS card never goes above 54C and it idles at 38C. whereas my sapphire one idled at 48C and went up to 68C. i think all these complaints about psus r looking at the...
interesting. i guess it was just shody work by sapphire that made their card impossible to run right lol. im so glad i switched to my HIS. if it does consume so little power that would mean i might have room for the x1950xt lol(not that id consider switching to that with my already limited funds;).)
the 7950gx2 was horrible and inefficient. a 7900gt would be awesome. but a 7900gtx would be better. i wonder if any dx10 AGP cards will ever be released.(not that i plan on switching to vista anytime soon)
jeez. a x1950xt agp? thats ridiculous. if so many ppl r having power problems with the x1950 pro i wonder how bad the xt version will be. im also perfectly happy with my HIS turbo ed. x1950pro. runs perfectly and pairs well with my cpu.
agreed that no one should ever put a sapphire card in their machine(ill never do it again at least). but this HIS card really surprised me. the extra 256mb on the sapphire would have been useful to play at higher resolutions but i only play my games and keep my monitor at 1152x864. at that...
hows the 7800gs treating u apoppin? im rather glad i left it. overclocking was a headache for me. i found that my perfect settings were 468/1400. i changed my gfx card as well. went to a HIS x1950pro AGP turbo ed. 256mb. i know the 256mb is technically a downgrade but 512mb isnt even properly...
ive said this many times in this thread. some ppl just need to learn how to use the search button. i have dual 12V rails with 18A on one and 20A on the other. and my card runs perfectly fine.
i have dual 12V rails with 18A on one and 20A on the other. however i havent tried overclocking because i use the omegas based on 7.1 catalysts. those drivers dont let u overclock at all. i dont seem to be having any problems with any games except B&W2: Battle of the Gods which refuses to run...
take a look at this article: http://www.tomshardware.com/2007/02/01/agp-platform-analysis/
it will show u that not only does the x1950pro do better in synthetic bechmarks but also in games especially at higher resolutions. this article also focuses on how ur cpu can bottleneck the card. very...
