How is it for gaming? I've heard something about tracking or ghosting effects on some LCD's.

Modem Dials "1" before the fax number.....@!#*%

It only happens during a fax. Any ways everything is OK now. I installed the latest 3com fax software "Phone Tools" and no problems:-) Like I said, my old software was for an ISA modem and the new modem is PCI so I guess that was thwe problem. Thanks for all responses, Ziggyman

Thanks guys, I've been punching in the number manually and went through everything I could find. Not sure about editing config file since I'm not using a stored number. I'll have new software from a pci modem tomorrow, was hoping someone could confirm this situation for me so I could say...

I have a 3com 56k voice/fax/modem oem #2976. I have the correct drivers installed. Modem works fine, fax is the problem. It dials out, you can hear ringing on the other end, then I hear the prerecorded message "Please don't dial 1 before calling a local number". I'm sending to a known...

Im looking for a new card, is RADEON right for me?

Here's the more recent review. I'm tring to decide on a new card myself. It looks like a lot of you are bent on the Radeon board but, most of the reviews I've read favor the GeForce2 GTS boards.

Quake 3 vrs Quake 2

I just tried Quake 3 demo, I'm a little disappointed with it. I'm used to Quake 2 where you would search for clues while fighting you way through the levels. Q3 seems to be run as fast as you can, shoot as fast as you can no end in sight.. Is this just the demo, is the full version different...

True. I flashed my BIOS once on a TX97X, it went smooth. But all the warnings about it possible going bad was enough to make me not do it again unless I had to. Ziggyman says Thanks!

815 Chipset - - - Does it Support ISA?

In my quest for a motherboard I notice no 815 chipset board has any ISA slots. Are ISA slots not supported by the 815 chipset or are ISA slots going the way of the dinosaur? Ziggyman

I was hoping for a "BIG" yes in speed improvement because I'm looking at motherboards and the ones with the 815 chipset don't have ISA slots :-( I guess I'll stick to the BX boards. thanks, Ziggyman
