Anything done in class for tests, exercises, etc. was all hand written, anything that was homework was to be typed.

whats better for photos, bmp or jpg ?

Filesize isn't the only difference. As mentioned, jpg is a lossy compression format, meaning that you will lose some information when it is compressed from a bmp. It's like making an mp3 from a wav. Yes you lose some information, but who's to say you would notice, and the compressed file is...
