So does greater than 137GB mean that it will handle two 500GB drives? I was hoping that someone on the forums had used large drives with this controller and could vouch for it handling two 320GB and higher drives...

I want to do a backup raid set for my SATA raid set. I want to use two 500GB PATA drives. Does anyone know how large of drives this card will support in windows XP?:)

I too have an ING Direct account. The only thing to keep in mind, is that they can take up to 4 days to transfer money from your account with them back into your checking account. Not a big thing, and when you add the $50.00 tubro tax bonus, they are still a great deal. :)

I had problems with version 1.0 of the KT7A motherboard when I tried to run an XP, and when I contacted Abit, they stated that they would not certify compatibility with the new processors (XP's and Morgans) before version 1.3 of that motherboard. So you will not be able to use an XP or morgan...

Is Jumping the L1 Bridge worth it?

I just bought an 1800 MP and the L1 Bridges were unlocked. For $60 more than the 1800 XP you don't have to unlock it.

Power Fan Connector

Thanks for the tip. I hooked up the connector and the fans seem to have more power upon startup.

On one machine, I have two case fans and a YS Tech fan on the fan connectors. You can hear the RPM difference when all three fans start up.

I just assembled an Abit KT7A-Raid motherboard and found this reference in the users maunal to the Fan3 header: "attach the power fan connector to the fan3 header." I have a small three pin connector from the power supply that looks like a fan connector. Is this what they are...

Win2k + overclocked system = no go?

I have a 1GHz Tbird overclocked to 1.2GHz and my son has a 700MHz Duron overclocked to 1GHz. We are both running Abit KT7 Raid Motherboards, and are able to change the processor speed on the fly. The only problem we have had is if you push the processor over its limits. Until the processor...
