i bought this little fuc*er at best buy and i know it's got the r360 core, cause when i cleaned my core it said it clear as day, so my flash wasn't a bad idea. well, looks like im gonna return it for another one, i broke my black spring clips for my mfg hs/f on my 9800 but i ripped the old ones...

9700Pro Registering as a 9800SE?

go to adrian rojaks site and try flashing the 9800 se to a 9800 pro, see if it'll let u change the stock speeds to the speeds of a 9800 pro first, then flash the bios.

Reformatted and now my HP doesn't work.

Solved it. Replaced the mobo with the EXACT SAME from a compaq i found, but it's revision 1.02 not 1.01. Apparently this "watermark" is F'd if the entire machine is switched around, diff HD and everything. Also, the bios battery must be removed for around 10 secs to reset CMOS on it and...

Reformatted and now my HP doesn't work.

i tried installing the normal version, and the screen shows up with a little blip at the top left that blinks, like it's waiting for a cmd line or something...but there is no way to type anything.

hardware for hardware it has the same motherboard and processor as the one i yanked out of my dell. All that aside, this should not be an issue, and if it is, it's traceable to the motherboard, is it not?

Reformatted and now my HP doesn't work.

I have this HP i got my sis a long time ago and i have a little problem... It doesn't boot the HD from the bios...or at least i dont THINK it does. I formatted the HD to 1 partition (used to have 2, one called D: Rescue or Recover or something I installed the new OS from my XP 8 in 1 cd...

So i was about to put down major bucks for a new mobo/processor/ram and i suddenly realized... What about my video card? I was running this rig... Athlon xp 2200 1052 mb pc2700 crucial RAM Asus A7n8X deluxe mobo and a Geforce 4 ti4200 then i overclocked my processor to 166x11...

A64 2800 Newcastle board help

I'm going for a low budget, good overclocking system with a decent motherboard. I have the 2800 64 bit processor (actually in the mail) and am in need of a motherboard. Whats a good overclocking motherboard besides the DFI LanParty UT?
