How can I make backup power supply w/ a car battery & a plug strip?

basically, you don't need to regulate the power going into the battery because it's deep cycle, and it will discharge at the rate it's charging at due to the dc/ac converters. the diode will ensure no feedback electricity if the power goes out, think about it, the battery is in a closed loop...

When you have a degree does it really matter what your GPA is?

it depends on what field your degree is in, compsci it really doesn't matter that much, they care more about what experience you have. show them what you can do, and they won't care what your gpa was. but something like journalism it matters because your gpa is almost a direct representation...
