DVD Cataloging software

Planning on having a terabyte or two Edit: actually, now that i realize i have close to 400 DVDs... well assuming they are dual layer ~8gb discs on average would yield a needed space of 3.2tb at a minimum (assuming that its a 1 disc DVD set). So I guess my options are to just rip the movie...

I spent a good chunk of my day today alphabetizing my ever-growing DVD collection. It was a mindless, boring job that I didn't mind until i ran out of shelf space. This got me thinking that there must be a better way. Basically, what I'm wondering is if there is any software that would allow...

Lian-Li QC problems?

I fell in love with the look of the V-1000 and I would never look back. I havn't noticed these stiffners before, and I agree that on a $250 case when they say its aluminum they should use aluminum. Overall though, I would highly reccomend Lian-Li cases. Both of the ones I have (V-1000 and PC-60)...

Ahh, that blows... I hope once they get this whole mess worked out I can at least utilize the card for encoding MPEG-2 so re-encoding DVD's dont take 20mins..

So after reading the Anandtech article on this subject, would I be correct to come to this conclusion: Owners of 6800GTs/Ultras have a fully functional MPEG-2 decoder, and that is all? NO MPEG-2 Encoder and NO WMV Decoder? If that's the case i'm a little pissed. All I wanted was faster...

Best way to get video from the computer to the TV

Yeah, the television does have a DVI input on the back... well it looks like a DVI input, but that doesnt mean its not HDMI. I have read that although the input exists it does not work with a computer input on this television :( .

I was thinking of building a Media Center PC to hook up to my Sony Grand Wega TV, but I'm not quite sure how to go about doing so. I know there are RGB to component video convertors, but how well would that work for going from a computer to a television? My main goal here is to have the TV...

Random Pauses with 6800GT

Hi, I recently built a new system and I have run into a problem. Whenever I play Final Fantasy XI, the game wil randomly "pause" every 2-3 minutes. Like, not like frames are dropped, but once the game "catches up" with itslef it speeds up for the missed frames then goes back to normal speed...

lol you all scarred me with the threat of "perminant damage". Im running my 6800GT @ 410/1.12, if the temps stay the same as stock is there a high chance of me doing damage to it? Just got kinda paranoid after someone brought that up.
