Just completed the test. I had 47 questions and all were in this dump. I scored 868. There are definitely some questions that need some validation and research but this should get you a pass.

Q11 - Answer in dump is correct. Jean D solution would only apply if they specified that they were wanting you to block the download of the file. This question only wants you to restrict the execution of unknown downloaded software meaning the sw is already present thus file explore settings would allow you to restrict the execution after the point of download

Q61 Actual answer should be

1) Open Advanced Security Settings for the folder
2) Add the project group and grant it read permission
3) Open the permission entry for user1

This question is tricky however this is the only effective way to change the permissions as requested to only allow access while user1 is a member of the project group. The last step would offer you the ability to remove the user 1 permissions from the folder thus eliminating the conflict that would still grant user1 access permissions to the folder when the group was removed.

If someone will post all the exam questions that are wrong with the correct answer, I will go through and "remix" this dump with the correct ones. ASAP!

After thinking about what I got wrong in the 70-688 exam, and not coming up with any good reasons as to why my answers were wrong, my best advice is to go through this great dump, checking each answer against Microsoft web sites, and only against Microsoft web sites. There appears to be 3 types of answers. They are wrong, right and what Microsoft expects!. Cheers

I do intend to take your suggestions and after proper research, create another dump highlighting the changes unfortunately, I am uncertain as to exactly when I will get around to this as I have been extremely busy. It may not be until the end of the month that will have some time.

Greetings and thanks to Nada. I have just done the exam and passed. Warning: Many questions are similar to what is in the dump but with subtle changes. That means that the answer given in the dump is wrong! IMHO a couple of questions are more suited to the exam for Windows Server 2012. That is not an exaggeration! In the syllabus for the exam it states something like, ".may contain, but is not limited to." That gives Prometric an open license to ask whatever they consider justified. I consider this to be unfair. Right now, there is no MS training kit for the exam. This is very disappointing.

Just my two cents.
Used this dump, kept in mind some corrections in the comments and passed the exam with 900+ last days. All questions were from this dump, BUT some answer options in the real exam differ from the ones in the dump, for example:

Q4: here you don't have a WinPE option, but "start the tablets by using network boot" which is the right answer.

Q10: compared to the dump in the exam you have 3 another answer options!

Q47: in the dump it's B) publishing the app through the intranet web site. In the exam you don't have this option. I think "Publish the app to Windows Store" is the right one here.

Q61. Answer is wrong. Here's why. User1 is already given Read Share and NTFS permissions. No where in the choices does it say to 'remove user1 permissions'. If you add the Project security group and give it read, then User1 will have Read from both his user account AND the group. Remove User1 from the Project group and he STILL has his user permission. Correct answer is: Open the Sharing tab, add a condition for a user group, Add the Project security group with Read.

Q48: The answer is incorrect. There is NO way you can run scanstate on a box, then "Install windows 8 by deleting existing partitions". If you did that, then the c:store folder is no longer existent for loadstate purposes later on. So the correct answer is Copy USMT, Scanstate /hardlink, Install Pro on the existing partition, Run loadstate. that's what I am going to choose should I get the question. This dump sure is valid, passed my exam today with 850. Changed 1 or 2 of the answers, but even if you follow all the answers as it is, good enough to pass for sure. Also, agree with KA1975 - some questions are in the 70-689 dump, be sure to check that too.
Attended formal Win8 class with Microsoft Certified centre before taking the exam, checked with the trainer and he confirmed - Q21 - Modify is the correct answer.

You might be correct since this sentence "They also report that when they change the Personalization setting to 15 minutes, it resets back to 1 minute." indicates that the setting i meant is set back to default automatically after changing.

The free Skydrive only syncs items in the Skydrive folder. With Skydrive Pro u can set up an additional sync folder for Sharepoint libs for example. Should be C since I´m running that config since many years with mesh and now skydrive.

Expl:
If screensaver is set to none the default setting to lockout is 1 minute. You can then set "On resume, display logon screen" and choose the time you want - in this specific case 15 minutes.

It´s imho answer D: Configure Allow trusted apps to install in GPO and then use add-appxpackage cmdlet to enable sideloading. LOB app in windows store is not a very good idea i guess :)

Greetings. I have limited knowledge of BitLocker, but from what I have read i think that the answer to Question 26 should be B and E. I can't see why D is part of the solution. C would require the password and the user would have to run the unlock command from an Administrator command prompt. Am I on the right track? Cheers and best wishes.

I received this reply to my queries about wrong answers in itexamfox's demo of 70-688. I found 4 wrong answers in the sample questions provided. I refuse to install Java on anything other than a virtual machine. Too much of a security risk!

Q21 - Is very tricky in it's wording, but I believe the correct answer to be "A" - Read. While NTFS indeed has it's own Effective Permissions tool and these permissions when taken alone are cumulative, there are also Effective Permissions which apply across the network. These would be the combination of both NTFS And!! Share Permissions and would in such a senerio be the most Restrictive of the permissions. Again NTFS Permissions when applied on there own are indeed cumulative but the combination of the two Permission conditions are the reverse maiking them Restrictive in nature.

The question makes the point of saying UserA is accessing the file, "Across the network" meaning that BOTH sets of Permissions would apply and thereby making the resulting "Effective Permissions" - Read.

I could be wrong but I don't think so. Thanks again for a great job your doing.

Thanks for pointing out Q55. I had a look and realize that while I provided the references that point to installing and using SkyDrive for Windows, I omitted to change the actual answer from what it was 'A' to what it I think it should be 'C'.

I can confirm that these are infact the exam questions, as I passed the exam last week. I cannot however, confirm that all of the answers are correct. That is something I am hoping that the community can assist with. If you or anyone find any incorrect answers please, provide corrections and proof (reference) and I will redo the file with the corrections.
