In newer really demanding games, yes. Some you will still have to turn down settings even at 1080 to keep from running out of vram. But the other 99.99% of PC games will run great. Many at 1440 or 4K maxed out. For $110 NIB the competition in the price range is 4GB cards like the RX 6400, 6500XT, GTX 1050ti, 1650, and the 6GB ARC A380. All of which it is much faster than.1080p gaming only right ? 6gb vram.
thisIf anybody else grabs one of these. Make sure you update the vbios from ASROCK to the 14gbps memory bios.
How safe is doing that? Link to the procedure? Will the RAM chips run too hot?Make sure you update the vbios from ASROCK to the 14gbps memory bios.
ASRock provides the new vbios and update utility so it' all been tested. The 3yr warranty is always there for peace of mind too.How safe is doing that? Link to the procedure? Will the RAM chips run too hot?
AMD freaked out when Nvidia released the 2060. It was too close to launch for AMD to upgrade the GPU bios. So they released a new bios for people to flash. That increased the base GPU clock and voltage as well as bumping the GDDR6 memory up in speed and voltage. Stock was 12gbps bumped to 14gbps memory bandwidth. The GPU stock uses 150w and with the bios update the GPU uses 160w.How safe is doing that? Link to the procedure? Will the RAM chips run too hot?
I think that it was OEM-only, it had slightly lesser specs.I don't think there ever was an RX 5600
I grabbed one too. 1080p is perfectly fine for gaming. My grand kids wont know the difference. Youtube comparisons show these cards as fast as GTX 1080s and RTX 2060s. No brainer at $116 shipped with tax.
I am curious as to before and after benchmarks with the bios update.
Can you please do a Unigine Superposition run with High or Extreme textures at 1080p?Mine arrived today and came in a generic brown box labeled just a RX5600. So it appears not to be a retail RX5600 XT.

It's still a big upgrade for me so might keep for the price. Anyone else receive yet?
The machine I have now is a potato. I have the parts for another system but will be a couple weeks until I put together. Can you please do a Unigine Superposition run with High or Extreme textures at 1080p?
I could install in my potato to get a GPU-Z screenshot. Maybe later tonight.- Any Pics and/or GPU-Z specs you can post?
