Real incomes are higher today than in 2019.It's not really the point of this thread, but pre-pandemic before prices shot through the roof, at least groceries were affordable enough to not spend $100/bag. Housing/rent price increases were inevitable (and will only get worse) but that only matters if you need a new place to live. Day to day expenses have gone up though. Even if it's slowing from inflation decreasing (which I appreciate), shit's still expensive and last I check civilians don't get COLA or inflation adjustments, unless that's what we're calling raises now.

If in the middle though, wages are either depressed or flat, and everything's more expensive, how is that helpful?
