I am chill!

I can accept someone's viewpoint of calling my viewpoint bonkers, but to actually accuse me of inventing and fabricating an event (that happened to be traumatic for my wife).. that's way over the line and is not political discussion anymore.

I have absolutely nothing to say or listen from those people.

It’s funny when asked for information you went into full denial mode and melted down. Whatever but you have provided zero evidence that migrants are extorting customers for money to use shopping carts.

1. No store manager would put up with that bs.

2. The police would be called and at the very least be able to trespass the offenders off the property.

3. If this was really a widespread thing you can be sure Fox would be leading with it.

Sorry that something happened to your wife.

Quote:

But in a potentially worrying sign for Biden, Trump’s message appears to be resonating with key elements of the Democratic coalition that Biden will need to win over this November.

Roughly two-thirds of Americans now disapprove of how Biden is handling border security, including about 4 in 10 Democrats, 55% of Black adults and 73% of Hispanic adults, according to an Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research poll conducted in March.

Gracie Martinez is a 52-year-old Hispanic small business owner from Eagle Pass, Texas, the border town that Trump visited in February when he and Biden made same-day trips to the state. Martinez said she once voted for former President Barack Obama and is still a Democrat, but now backs Trump — mainly because of the border.

“It’s horrible,” she said. “It’s tons and tons of people and they’re giving them medical and money, phones,” she said, complaining those who went through the legal immigration system are treated worse.

I really don't know how to change hearts and minds of voters on this. It seems their inner heart tells them Trump is correct here. And people vote with their hopes.. that Trump will fix it all.. And in contrast Biden's like Congress will fix this when they give everyone reason to think Congress will do nothing, and will stop everyone from trying to do anything.

That's why I think Trump can win..
I wonder what people would say if France asked for the Statue Of Liberty to be returned?

Clearly, this country is no longer worthy of Lady Liberty.

Squatting and no cash bail laws.. bad combo for actual criminals who exploit every weakness in the system.

Hopefully these are deported and not released!

The fear-mongering is nothing new.

“For it is never to be forgotten that self-defense is the first law of nature and of nations. If that man who careth not for his own household is worse than an infidel, the nation which permits its institutions to be endangered by any cause which can fairly be removed is guilty not less in Christian than in natural law. Charity begins at home; and while the people of the United States have gladly offered an asylum to millions upon millions of the distressed and unfortunate of other lands and climes, they have no right to carry their hospitality one step beyond the line where American institutions, the American rate of wages, the American standard of living, are brought into serious peril.”

“Restriction of Immigration” by Francis A. Walker, The Atlantic Monthly, June, 1896

There's your "They takin' our jerbs, Ma!" combined with "we need to take care of ourselves first." And all this bleating by immigrant-turned-native Euros who took the land from the former inhabitants by war and deceit. Not a great look.

So to be clear you support releasing criminals based on their bank account size and not the seriousness of the offense?
I don't know what could have given you that idea, but let me clarify:

I support not releasing criminals based on violent offenses so Murder, Manslaughter, Attempted Murder, Assault should not be released on bail and definitely not cashless bail/ own recognizance.

Great, those violent offenses do not qualify for cashless bail and never have.

To think all this time you've been mad about a law based on entirely made up reasons.

Umm just watch the video I linked again. Either you didn't watch it or ABC are lying.

They clearly state person arrested already has a pending case for attempted murder and is currently out on bail.

So you're mad about something that's been the law since the 1970's?

Cashless bail has nothing to do with this.

Moving goal posts I see..

First you say I'm manufacturing stuff since it's not factual, then when proven wrong you again shift blame to me.

Apologize first and admit you were wrong and the fact is I did not manufacture that shit. Then we'll talk.

If you knew that cashless bail was irrelevant why did you even mention it?

I never said you were mad about that incident based on manufactured reasons, I reasonably interpreted you were complaining about cashless bail as you mentioned it, and let you know that law does not apply here.

If you'd like to explain further what you meant there I'm open to hearing it but no, the only mistake I may have made is thinking you were ignorant instead of incoherent.

Well, for giggles, the immigrants back then were white. And, if you weren't from England proper, you were still a second class citizen for a fair bit of time. Think of the Irish and the Italians.

Yep. Ironically, I found a quote from Frederick Douglas complaining about immigrants being given preferential treatment over black people already here. No doubt that was the case. Immigrants might have been seen as scum by the existing immigrants-turned-citizens, but at least they were mostly white-ish scum.

The Italians were actually 3rd class and same as blacks.. why they're still called names that start with a G that is a country in Africa.

It wasn't till "christopher columbus" day that they started becoming White.

BTW it seems there was a white pogrom against Italian immigrants too.. but it's been erased!
