The next one after this was a "used in great condition 1060 3GB" (had been playing consoles for a few years so didn't really know that buying this card was pretty stupid).

Also, what model of 3050 6GB do you have that's passively cooled or what kit did you put on it to make it so, because that's my ideal setup going forward. i.e. I'll probably use the 3050 6GB for PhysX when I upgrade in the future.
P.S. Thanks for the riser hint. Ordered a PCIe 4.0 riser off of Amazon and it should arrive today. Hope to play with hardware this weekend and satisfy my (et. al.) curiosity.

Most new 3050 6GB are $190-200 locally. Best deal I found used on FB Marketplace was $150 for a 3050 8GB, but it had a power connector and I'm trying to say away from that.A 3050 is still going for that kind of money?
I've always wanted a slot powered passive card (easiest to install especially when you are moving between multiple builds for benchmarking etc.) so nabbed the Palit KalmX from Europe at launch because I knew it's kind of a hard card to get. 5060 Ti 16 GB rumored to have the full 28 gbps GDDR7 and the TDP is increased to 180 W from 165 W.
I assume the MSRP will be the same - $399 for the 8 GB model and $499 for the 16.
At least last gen there was a bigger gap for the 16GB to fall into, and it was still a $100 step up to the 4070.In other words, a joke? At least for the 16GB model. May as well get a 5070.
As for the 8GB, I'm sure it will sell plenty. I think some people who are more informed will be wary of the 8GB VRAM though.

499$ for the 16GB card would be very unattractive. Especially if AMDs 9070 non-XT gets released at 499...549$ and 16GB as well and much higher performance overall.
As far as I know, MSI will honor the warranty from the “born on” date of the serial number instead of a purchase date in the event you don’t have a receipt. That’s something at least. Other manufacturers not so much.imagine all the people who bought scalped cards... and now they can't even RMA it, because on most occasions its not transferable, and no one really gives receipt when scalping the card.
