Does this finally prove Trump/DOGE are not really trying to control government spending but permanently damage it.

I mean, this is literally two aircraft that were ordered in his first term that aren't even ready by the time his second term has come around.

We might be double dipping on the outrage here a bit. Boeing really does suck the big one nowadays.

I just don't understand the outrage. Why can't you people let Trump destroy the US in peace. It's not like we can do anything beyond our own personal emotional state. Relax and be happy. We're in a collective fuck. Nothing really personal about it that our minds don't manufacture.

Trump spends 10M his first month to golf

Add to that 10M to go to the Super Bowl

Don't forget Daytona, that's another $25 million, same as the super bowl.

That's $60 million + plus room fees for all the SS at HIS resort. Saving us taxpayers a fortune! Saving even more with Melania's trips to New York...

At this rate it will be over $840 million in just vacations per year. I think we just found where to get that 2 trillion in savings he was looking for.

But that's OK because we should spare no expense making Trump comfortable and feeling welcome in his tremendously complex job of having Elon run the country without Elon taking the credit for it. This gives Daddy Don Dingus more time to do what he does so well cheating on the golf courses and less time to fuck around, find out and not give a fuck about it. Trump should just stay out of DC and run around the world being an ambassador of good will in all of those dictatorial fascist countries like Orbanistan, Putistan, XiJinga and KimCheem that he's so well liked and adored. He could even take months long visits to those most modern and highly productive states where he is revered as the second coming of St. Reagan, places like Alabama, Mississippi <---*damn I speeled it right first crack* Arkansas and Tennessee<---*fuck took me three tries on that one*

Are you finally willing to admit DOGE is in place to destroy the federal government and not to responsibly control spending?

Nearly 40% of contracts canceled by Doge are expected to produce no savings

This report is from the Associated Press.

Some 40% of the federal contracts that the Trump administration claims to have canceled as part of its signature cost-cutting program aren’t expected to save the government any money, the administration’s own data shows.

Elon Musk’s so-called “department of government efficiency” last week published an initial list of 1,125 contracts that it terminated in recent weeks across the federal government. Data published on Doge’s “wall of receipts” shows that more than one-third of the contract cancellations, 417 in all, are expected to yield no savings.

Well, yeah, but have you considered that they weren't going to make Herr Musk any money?

Makes you think they should have done some analysis instead of just hacking through employees.
Only if they were supposed to actually be doing a good job. They're slashing morale and getting their initial fake numbers in front of the gullible goobers who think Herr Musk is acting in good faith... the fucking schmucks 🙄

This isn't about saving any money, nor is it about being able to fiscally pay for tax cuts.

It's about destroying the government enough so that the only logical next step is to let the billionaires buy up the pieces at firesale prices.

Tariffs do work, if you keep that in mind. Laying off all government workers does work, if you keep that in mind. Pissing off your own voters does work, etc., etc., etc.

Oops. Another 4 billion in savings wiped off the progress report.

DOGE quickly discovering that the reason the US govt doesn't spend an enormous amount of effort chasing efficiency is that you end up costing more auditing it than you save.

With credit cards cut off, employees are being asked to make small purchases with personal funds and to seek reimbursement. F’ that.
DOGE is already blocking payment for services already contracted and rendered (ie, USAID). You'd have to be a pretty big moron to float the government a loan right now and hope you get reimbursed.

And then good luck getting the sales tax discount that automatically would come with your government purchase card...
