Explain how they have the right to access her phone if she isn't being held, and was simply denied entry, based on the pictures they found on her phone, which where deleted a couple days before returning to the US? I'm traveling abroad with a friend in a couple of months and I plan on doing my best to pretend I'm Canadian like herI could imagine some might say Robert Reich is being unpatriotic. But honestly, he's only saying what I've already been thinking (and I'm sure I'm not the only one) - that it feels kind of scary to visit the US these days.
Frankly, immigration/border control types tend to be a bit scary - if you're not a local citizen - the world over, but right _now_ I think it would be double-plus anxiety-inducing to deal with the US variety, and it seems like one wouldn't feel entirely safe even once inside the country.
