The only thing missing now is a Strix Halo based workstation laptop.
This Webinar is upcoming, but still does not show a date:
But it came 2 months too late, since my company told me to pick-up a replacement laptop in February, so I had to go with RaptorLake HX as we are only using Dell laptops (sad thing is it was even too early for Arrow Lake). Now I wonder if it catching on fire would be in the end a good or bad thing...Some thought this day would never this day: Dell commercial PC with AMD processors.
Did you see the prices of Intel based notebooks? For example, 16 GB model for $2100?Sorry but those offerings are horrible. Those prices are at least $500 too high.

perhaps because it´s April 1th dateThis Webinar is upcoming, but still does not show a date:
You could try to dump it on a colleague or some other worker and get a 285HX laptop. You can get them excited by saying it is codenamed Raptor and that it will rip through workloads and absolutely shred them. But it came 2 months too late, since my company told me to pick-up a replacement laptop in February, so I had to go with RaptorLake HX as we are only using Dell laptops (sad thing is it was even too early for Arrow Lake). Some thought this day would never this day: Dell commercial PC with AMD processors.
So far, I see:
- mid range CoPilot with Kracken CPU (Ryzen 350)
- lower range with Hawk Point (Ryzen 220)
- a Threadripper (!!!) workstation.
- Micro Mini PC desktop (Phoenix)
- Tower desktop (Phoenix)
Here is the Kraken version. All of the laptops have a ship date of April 24.

at 1080P. Do people game at that resolution anymore ?Not bad. Extra 10% performance going from 6000 cl30 to cl26.
Especially with a 5090, and using DLSS?at 1080P. Do people game at that resolution anymore ?
I'd like to hear Buildzoid's take on it, lots of other timings are important as well (and some are very unimportant). Not bad. Extra 10% performance going from 6000 cl30 to cl26.
Personally, 6000 cl30 timed at EXPO pretty much maxes GENERALLY the performance. I am sure there are exceptions.Especially with a 5090, and using DLSS?
Theyre trying to exacerbate the load on memory to get a performance difference. Seems like this goes right into the bin with the rest of reviews that test in unrealistic configurations for the sake of "isolating variables".
Edit: they also tested with a 9950X, which also exacerbates the memory load. What 5090 owner isnt rocking a 9800X3D or 9950X3D?
