Have you learned nothing from both Steves? You can't compare different scenes or for that matter different reviews. Regardless -12-20fps difference is 4070ti territory.

It will get even worse after playing for a while and the throttling starts. It's conservation of energy. Power performance heat.

nah the good ryzen laptops even with furmark 100% full usage they keep just below temp thresholds

So when they learned that ~80% of Internet traffic is bot traffic, they thought that the best approach is to make it 100%? Didn't FB pitch a similar idea to its stockholders, making up tonnes of bot users to make its platform look less dead?

Every AI model, be it in the internet, a software or even local LLM that runs automation is a form of bot.

Also i dont think a thin laptop can handle the heat load from a good dedicated GPU for long, unless u live in the polar ice caps, or your in a state with snow during winter.

Most cases, they do throttle especially after Unreal Engine 5

Been running desktop CPUS mostly since the 90s, though I did run AMD barton Mobile CPUs on my desktop for some years since they were monster overclockers and inexpensive.

I just ordered a MINISFORUM BD795M yesterday. 7945HX CPU on a Micro ATX board with pci express, nvme slots, 2 laptop so-dimms... They had it listed at $479, with a $140 coupon code on their webpage, so it was $339.

The cheapest AM5 16 core option at this time is over $400 for just the bare CPU. I would have probably preferred going with a normal ATX case and socketed CPU, but, the 7945HX seemed like so much compute for the dollar, and so much compute per watt, that I went ahead and ordered it ...

Yes, it's hard to find an ITX + 16 core combination that is price competitive with $340. If it was a system one intended to upgrade in the future it'd be a concern. But most people aren't going to upgrade for some time.

its hard period to find even the cpu alone that has 16 cores priced at 340 dollars.

Also i think a lot of us has stated, if you need that many cores, and your limited to 1 pci-e slot, or even less, with under most cases only 2 sticks of ram, your at the very very tiny niche of specialized computing, and under most conditions, i would think running a rasberry pi node on a linux build would probably give you better results.

Meaning most people would probably grab a server and run VM's with IPbased-KVM, on it to simulate multiple compute environments so they have flexibility or assigning resource as needed vs, running a Tiny box with a bunch of cores limited on how much ram and pci-e lanes you can use on that platform.

Seriously who wants this stuff? Who would spend thousands of dollars on a soccer game/plane trip/hotel room and trust ai to get the best deal for you? Or even get it correct?
