Trump can tell the courts to go fuck themselves, it's an official act.So El Salvador isn't going to release them either so we have a situation where both countries are saying they lack the power to do that. This is of course transparent bullshit and is a direct challenge to the courts.
If the courts are unable to compel this guy's return we are probably looking at a situation of either full on dictatorship or civil war.
The Roberts court already sided with Trump when they made the president above the law for anything he calls an official act. If the Trump administration can defy court orders with impunity, and Congress is unwilling to act, there is no reason for it to respect the constitutional rights of American citizens either. The Roberts Court will now have to decide whether to side with the Constitution or with a lawless president asserting the power to disappear people at will. Kind of regretting not getting Global Entry years ago to potentially reduce the hassle, but here we are. (also, traveling with my wife, so one with GE and one without wouldn't work so great). Maybe I'll look to acquire it towards the back end of the year, when I have to go to Spain for work.10000% facts.
