I hope other private universities do the same.
The government should not say to how the universities are run. Just like Twitter (x) can run it's own shitty platform without intervention, the schools of higher learning need the same right.

However, I don't think Trump really thinks anything beyond things with money are zero sum and foreigners are bad (largely because his evil stupid brain is mushifying). What you're probably seeing is just people in his orbit who have personal vendettas against various groups who they perceive as enemies, and are using their new found power to exact stupid retribution. It just so happens that Trump also likes these mob style tactics when it comes to negotiations.

Good for Harvard. They're rich enough and they don't need federal funding right? The federal govt doesn't dictate what universities can teach but they certainly do not have to provide tax payer dollars to support programs that they don't support. I hope they cut the funding to all of these ivy league schools.
