I was driving around looking for a place to eat and the word toasted caught my eye. So I stopped in. This was the sandwich I got.The entire place is centered around getting high. There's one downtown that I've been meaning to go try. The Sandwiches come with their seasoning which they call shake (weed lingo) And their sandwich names are take-offs of different strains of Marijuana or something related to getting high. It's an interesting concept for a restaurant, they'll get stoners coming by the droves. But I'm sure a lot of anti drug people will be too offended to go. Them serving Kool Aid is pretty hilarious. And the teen in me that never grew up chuckled when I saw the 5-0 sandwich with "all the pig" in it. 5-0's west coast slang for police and it being all pork meats on it's kinda cute. And them using a Marajuana leaf to symbolize their vegaterian sandwiches is pretty amusing. I think the entire place being based on getting stoned will go over some people heads, but for anyone who even remotely knows about Marajuana it's obvious. When I 1st saw it on Yelp last year, since weed's legal here for a few minutes I legit was thinking they were serving infused sandwiches lol.
It's 4.3 with 400+ reviews on Yelp, with the concept, it would seem like it's just a super gimmicky spot. But people rave about it so it's not just a joke. And based off the review it's not just good it's maybe the best sandwich spot around (here anyway) I dunno why I haven't been yet, but your post reminded me I need to get my ass there. Maybe today. A sandwich with 5 different forms of pork and a side of Kool Aid to wash it down sounds delicious. They also have a PB&J toasted sub, that's something only a stoner could have came up with lol.
I used to add peanut butter and mush it around when I was a kid. That was when there were only 3 flavors of ice cream you could buy. Just like there were only 3 channels on the TV.I used to mush my ice cream around in the bowl before I ate it. Does the same thing, but I guess nuking is quicker. Never tried that.

All the chicken, mushrooms and sauce are hidden beneath the lettuce. My first thought was, how and I going to eat this. Then figured out I just had to Guy Fieri it and folded and took a big bite. Fantastic!
My wife kept saying that the place seems like it should be near a college, but she loved the sandwich. The one I go to is near a Chik Fil A and I do love me some CFA, but I drive right by it to go to Cheba. It was on my third visit that I saw they have kool aid. They have the normal Coke products also. It was on the fourth visit that I saw the palm tree leaves are actually marijuana leaves. I don't care, the food is yummy!
Nuking is a bit much for me, I do keep it in the top part of my freezer which helps it stay a bit softer, and set it out 10-15 minutes beforehand.I understand that is the traditional way for chocolate chip cookies, I still say my way is darn good.
Let's put it this way, at family gatherings I was laughed at because I would take my ice cream and put it in the microwave for about 14 seconds. Until others started to do it. Now they take the ice cream out about half an hour before it is to be served to soften it up.
Baskin Robbins' peanut butter chocolate has long been a favorite of mine because of the ribbon of peanut butter, but I do like that it's a separate ribbon rather than spread throughout, so there can be contrast between the flavors. Haven't been as keen on other PB-chocolate options because there's usually something different enough that it doesn't hit the sweet spot for me.I used to add peanut butter and mush it around when I was a kid. That was when there were only 3 flavors of ice cream you could buy. Just like there were only 3 channels on the TV.

Honestly like Popeyes red beans and rice more than when I get it at Cajun restaurants out here.Never had a Popeyes sandwich. I always got the fried chicken, but the red beans & rice does indeed rock. I'm really just here for the fuck CFA, cause fuck CFA. Overrated mediocrity.

That sounds better than my last experience there. You're in San Antonio, right? The one on Nacogdoches in the NE is terrible.Got some Popeyes for the first time in a while, as CFA was my go-to chicken sandwich until they screwed up their fries, but damn I think I was missing out because Popeyes has a better sandwich and their red beans and rice kill CFA's fries even before the screwed them up. What's cool though is on the receipt you get a free 2 piece and a biscuit with purchase of a soda and since I'm cheap I'll definitely take advantage of that.
This seems like a great prank food.
