I'm guessing she didn't know she had T2D?
Another reason could be that she was dieting, her glucose levels went really low and her brain just plain checked out.
I have been near an older diabetic guy whose breath smelt putrid. I wondered what it could be since I know what bad teeth smell like. That explains it.Breath start to smell like ammonia it seems.
Than he needs to go to the doctor quickly. When his breath smells like acetone or ammonia and he has proper mouth hygiene, his kidneys are failing to filter the blood properly while his liver is making all these compounds that are poisonous for the rest of the body. And that all started with diabetes. Get him to a doctor if you can.I have been near an older diabetic guy whose breath smelt putrid. That was a few years ago. He's retired/living in another country and probably not well these days because he used to share messages on Whatsapp. Not anymore.Than he needs to go to the doctor quickly. I was thinking, if a person has a breath like acetone and has to do an alcohol breathing test from the police. That poor person might end up taken away for high alcohol levels by accident. And since the glucose levels are out of control , a person can be in a serious bad mood and quickly confused. May end up with lots of fines and no driving license anymore.I have been near an older diabetic guy whose breath smelt putrid. I wondered what it could be since I know what bad teeth smell like. Well, after more web searches, and other than the affect on gut microbes -- I find nothing to make me panic about "Zero-Sugar" drinks. But where I just mentioned in another thread the prospects for different vegetable juices, I can easily moderate my Aspartame intake.Stevia is said to be safer as a sugar substitute but even there I've read mixed studies on it. Some say it's great for intestinal health. Others say it can disturb the gut microbiotic flora balance. No one seems to be sure of anything about metabolism. Some say breakfast is absolutely necessary. Others say that anything before noon is a recipe for lifelong disease. How can we even begin to understand anything when humanity hasn't even figured out the human body properly?
