I was never a "political analyst", and my exposure to the field of "political science" as a student or academic is a small sliver of that sort of preparation.
But one would ask; "To obtain the maximum possible votes toward an election win, what are the relative benefits of making an all-out assault on GOP gerrymanders?"
Trump -- for barely four months in -- is losing badly. Questionnaires designed to test voter approval or disapproval of an aspect for Trump's agenda, show serious Trump losses -- many times by 60 percentage points, otherwise by a rectangular distribution of 10 -- 60 points.
This is a shitty way to spend a person's sunset years. I have friends who had strokes and died, after their spouses reported to me that their other half had been screaming at the TEE-VEE. My blood pressure is chemically, dietarily and any way related to exercise -- in a good place. Worst case at rest: 135 of 88. Best case and more recently: 122 / 80.
Put Trump on the tube and I'm up to 150 or 160, even if not screaming at the TV and upsetting my neighbors in their peace at home.
