Needed an 8" wide oak board out of my lumber stack, it was of course on the very bottom of the pile. The stuff is heavy and has to be carefully stacked so it doesn't warp or twist. I also discovered that I have 14" wide boards 108" long, all clear heart white oak.

Well, got another 2 cases of mres coming. Next target is $80. If it gets ≤ to that, I guess I'll have to buy some more. If I wait long enough, maybe they'll pay me to take them :^D
They're down to $80. I'd like to return my two $170 cases, and exchange them for four of these. They can keep the $10 cause I'm a nice guy like that :^D

So tempted to buy more, but I only need so many MREs. I probably already have too many, but <$4/meal is hard to beat.

Shortened grass today, and the mower was running like shit. Took the air filter off, and it ran great. I thought, "Ok. Lets try spraying it with parts cleaner to get some of the oil out of the filter". That improved from running like shit to not running at all :^D I stuck my knife through the filter between the pleats in 3 spots, and that got it running well enough to get the grass shortened. I'll have to get a new filter for next week though. I don't want to keep running like that.

Strange that it ran shitty this year. It ran fine when I put it away last season, and it wasn't touched. Should've ran fine today, but it didn't.

I haven't tasted an mre in at least 20 years. I definitely did NOT like them.

I don't really eat much these days but it's always, always, frozen or deli. A lot of that stuff is pretty good, even some of the vegan stuff (shhhh). So . . . . not exactly 'private chef' territory, but fuck, mres? That's a lotta hard nope.

They're better than they were 20 years ago. 20 years some were good, some were inedible. Now they're all edible-good. Nothing terrible in the cases.

I didn't pick up on that, thanks.
I used to have a biscuit machine, good for miters on wide trim and such, but I prefer dowels for joinery.

Dumb AF person doing a cover of a Kid Rock song at this local coffee shop that is just a cheap musical rip off of
Werewolves of London

restraining intrusive thoughts.

______________
*edited to fix the title of the song. still fuming over cover singers with no taste deserving of kicks to the 'nads

Wow. I know he ripped off Werewolves of London, but Roland too? At least it's an interesting pick.

I've had great success (longevity) with biscuits on table tops, but agree, dowels are king.

I was cutting a tree, and a log came down and hit my hand. I'm not exactly sure what happened, but I have an idea. Hurt like a bastard when it happened, and i thought "Hmm... Shit doesn't feel right", removed my glove, and saw the disaster. Wasn't entirely sure I'd make it to the hospital. Started going into shock, but I kept it under control to get there. Aside from my stupid mistake, I'm fairly happy with my performance. Got the saws packed away, cleared the road, dropped the chipper, and got myself to the doctor. I can post the fun pic if anyone wants to see it. I only took one,
