I agree. I scored very high on IQ and problem solving skills in grade school, and was put in the gifted classes. I also scored in the top 2% nationally on my ACT, but I think that common (or not so common?) sense is more important for daily life. I've thought about joining MENSA, but from the online posts I've read from members, they tend to be rather snooty.It is wild how dumb the typical American is. They have the logic and reasoning skills of a goldfish. Just impossible to engage with these people.
