I do believe the corrupt Dem establishment class will do whatever it takes to prevent her from winning. Although I'm hoping there is a whole new party replacing the failed Dems by then.
As far as the woman thing being hard-coded in the DNA, Kamala got fucking close even running a relatively poor Dem consultant class milquetoast center-right campaign in a hostile media environment, and more importantly, I think a lot of things can be uncoded from a country's DNA after living through this kind of shit show after multiple years. This shit is gonna change people big time.
The biggest issue will be - any type of free election by then? And if there is, will the Dem establishment still get in the way of anything transformational and authentic and fuck this up for all of us again?
I know nothing but I would say that the best predictor of the future is the past and that if you want to know the future you need only compare the psychological factors that created the past with the direction of change implicit in the factors that are affecting it today. We can call what is the will of the people as in we have Trump because he won the election.
But the quality and nature of will of the people at any given time is itself is determined by whatever level of awareness it on average it represents. What does this imply here? If they don't want democracy we will not have it and if they do we will.
In the last election people overlooked the fact they were voting for a fascist their anger was so great, but their anger at the product of his fascism has made them even more miserable than they were before so I expect to see some change and I think it's already visible.
Since I first studied biology in high school I have envisioned human society like an amoeba, a flowing mass of protoplasm animated by chemical attraction toward a source of food. In the case of humans the source of animation is provided by what we call complex psychological motivations which, unfortunately for us can require no more conscious awareness to motivate us then those given off by a food source that’s sensed by an amoeba in water.
And that is why the great insight of the Freudian era, the presence of unconscious motivations, long understood in Eastern psychological systems and often thought of as religious, go almost totally ignored.
They are offensive to the ego which says I am the one who determines actions and is in control. Anybody with an ounce of self awareness knows that isn’t the case.
In this way both humanity and amoebas are programmed machines, the product of chemical reactions. But in the case of humans the question must be asked, “Is there a potential to be at cause rather than a leaf in the breeze?” But who will seek who believes via programming he or she is already self awareness? Perhaps only the deeply curious and honest or those in unbearable pain. For the self content, never, barring strange accidents.
