You think a Russ alliance will poll better than the tariffs?
Of course no!, the issue? What if Trump "promises" (aka LIES) saying: "An Alliance with Russia is beneficial for us since means cheap food, christian values and white people!"

Besides the MAGA people, idiots will fall again in that.

Little Dima still hitting that bottle something fierce apparently.

The genocidal invading warcriminals who threaten WWIII regularly are mad they weren't invited to Berlin to commemorate the end of WWII. haha The projection is downright Trumpian, just maybe with vodka added? Fascists calling the country run by a Jewish guy, with a muslim defense minister, a haven of nazis... while they follow Hitler's playbook no less. Belly laugh material if it weren't for so many people dying.

It's like hearing Dementia Don call something 'bad for democracy,' directly after wiping his ass with the Constitution. Puh lease.

If the Norwegian lemming was a person. And drunk.

Yeah whatever keeps the intel flowing. The more time the EU gets to organize and build things up, the better. Ukraine seems entirely willing to entertain common sense proposals free of ridiculous bullshit. What a concept.

I hope it's for real, not just because Trump needs to claim some kind of win after 100 days of cementing his status as the worst piece of shit ever to stain the Oval Office. Will this deal survive Il Douche's next Putin meeting? Or like, next week? Guess we'll see.

Congrats to the Ukrainians involved though. Must have been gratifying to get these corrupt, extortion and treason prone bastards to agree to a deal that doesn't disenfranchise Ukraine in some way. Bravo.

Australian mining billionaire, Andrew Forrest, a vocal supporter of Ukraine who's donated millions of dollars to the country since Russia's full-scale invasion, told the ABC he believed the US, and other nations, must stand up for Ukraine.

"My thought on the minerals deal — as someone who stands rock-solid behind the people of Ukraine, rock-solid behind President Zelenskyy and rock-solid behind the very sovereignty of Ukraine — is that this could be a good deal. It isn't yet," Mr Forrest said.

"Right now, President Zelenskyy has done what the Trump administration has asked and offered up a great deal of resources of Ukraine to the United States in return for a question mark, and that question mark must be answered.

"Look, this could be a good deal. Provided that it leads to the freedom and sovereignty of Ukraine."

One of the few Australian mining billionaires that actually have a few reasonable brain cells.

I expect the next Democrat President to put an axe to this "deal" immediately.
A day one executive order for Ukraine to owe us nothing.
Judging by their recent history of presidents/candidates, I expect the next Dem president to be a mollusk that will spend most of their time pandering to fascists, erm, I mean decent folks.

Have to say, I'm a little surprised to see this. Seems we are moving F-16s from the boneyard and sending them to Ukraine for spare parts. Nothing to sneeze at. This should help add sorties that result in charred orcs.

"Non-operational F-16s are being pulled from the boneyard and sent to Ukraine to support the growing fleet of European-donated fighters that the country is now using in combat against Russia. This development was confirmed to TWZ by the U.S. Air Force after photos recently emerged showing partially disassembled F-16s being loaded onto a Ukrainian charter An-124 transport aircraft in Arizona. Flight trackers showed the transport flying to Poland.

According to an Air Force spokesperson, the Department of the Air Force “has supported the sustainment of European-donated F-16s to Ukraine by providing disused and completely non-operational F-16s to Ukraine for parts. These F-16s were retired from active U.S. use and are not flyable. Importantly, they lack critical components such as an engine or radar and could not be reconstituted for operational use.”

If you don't like fascism I have some really bad news about the current orange stain in the White House.

Some pretty weak judgement there though. I mean to kvetch about future Dems when an actual fascist is in the process of destroying the country, economy and rule of law, right now. Wow. Culty stuff kid.

"Pandering" is bad, but years of Trump's foreign policy equivalent of shiatsu and a blowjob for Putin, you've got no issue there right? You magats are hilarious.

I am cautiously, very cautiously optimistic.

There have been so many rug pulls and this admin is in such disarray that I wonder what the catch is here. Someone quietly trying to help Ukraine without drawing too much attention? PR move to say the US is "finally" sending F-16s to Ukraine? Something to "bill" Ukraine for at outrageous prices as part of this minerals deal?

Help for Ukraine is help for Ukraine and if this admin somehow manages to actually stick with it then they'll have earned some respect on that front.

Ukraine knows that the U.S. can’t be trusted to abide by the agreement so signing it costs them nothing and giving Trump a “win” may keep the intelligence spigot open.

Ukraine is also still slated to receive billions worth of defense equipment and munitions probably through the end of this year contracted from suppliers via USAI. The vendors have been paid and so far the admin has not moved to cancel the contracts.

There have been so many rug pulls...
Maybe this was part of Trump's chaotic 'Art of the Deal' styled wheeling and dealing?

Now that Ukraine and the USA have a mineral deal, and we have observed Trump getting a light bulb moment some days ago that maybe Putin is stringing him along... perhaps it will be smoother sailing going forward in terms of America's support for Ukraine.

The BBC has a good overview of the main points of the deal - https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c5yg456mzn8o

One interesting point they mention is that oil, gas and other hydrocarbons are now included in the deal. This could mean that the USA kinda hopes that Southern Ukraine and Crimea will be retaken at some point. The offshore of these areas have significant hydrocarbon reserves.

Budanov have previously talked about retaking Crimea;

All Ukraine has to do is exhaust Russia, and offensive progress may resume. Problem is Russia is not done throwing meat at the front. We're sort of between waves at the moment. One group of Russians depleted, another takes its place.
