It's an award for her family/survivors.

What does that say about law and order?
It say's that shooting an unarmed woman isn't a good idea. She was absolutely part of a riot, and deserved to be punished for that. Would you prefer that all rioters be treated the same way? Just have the police line up and open fire?

Back on topic, Babbit wasn't rewarded, she was killed.

If one of them (followed up by a mob) kicked your front door in and you were behind the sofa with a gun pointed at the door would you just let them? Given that they had chanted that they were going to kill several people in your house!

Well that’s quite the white wash of her actions on that day.

It doesn't seem like a reward since she's dead.

Wonder what bothers you more.

That one MAGA died. Or that they failed to find Vice President Mike Pence.
That you were trying to kill one of your own that day.... speaks volumes.
And why were they doing that? To overthrow Congress. To overthrow an election. A fucking coup.

To be clear she was shot because despite being repeatedly warned she was climbing through a smashed window after breaking through multiple barricades as part of a mob chanting for the death of elected officials.

The insurrectionists should be thanking their lucky stars she was the only one shot as police had more than enough reason to shoot a hell of a lot more of them.

Once again nice justification. She was killed and rewarded for being an insurrectionist. Think her family deserved 30M? I see you are still sucking Trump's dick.

Why do we have to go to the childish personal insults?
You made the foolish statement that Babbit was rewarded, I pointed out that she wasn't rewarded and was in fact killed. There isn't anything arguable about that statement, Babbit is absolutely dead. So it's my position that being shot to death is never a reward for the person being shot. I've been reliably informed that it's often very uncomfortable.

It's her illegal actions that got her killed which are what's being rewarded, nothing else. It has nothing to do with being a wrongful death, or paying out her family, it all has to do with Trump trying to make her a martyr. So yes, in reality, she is really the one Trump is paying. It just so happens that because her stupid illegal actions got her killed, her family gets the money. If she survived, Trump would have paid her in person. If the case went to court, her family would get nothing because it was not a wrongful death, no matter how far you have your head up your ass. Trump knows this, which is why he told them to settle.

You can absolutely be rewarded after death. It's what the word "posthumous" is for!

She was shot because she repeatedly tried to break into a secure area where MoC were being actively guarded against the violent attackers. She breached the glass and attempted to enter after being warned. The security detail had no way to know if she was/wasn't armed (carrying a backpack IIRC) and were vastly outnumbered. In all actuality, they probably far exceeded the patience/restraint that they should have.

Good shoot.

And comparing it to actual wrongful death/shootings makes it even more sickening...

Michael Brown $1.5M
Philando Castile $3M
Jacob Blake $0 (paralyzed)
Trayvon Martin est. $1M
etc. etc.

Stupid clown got exactly what she deserved and was promised (numerous warnings to stop what she was doing or the agent(s) would open fire). Now her family is getting rich because of it so that TwoScoops can trigger da libruhls.

Can you name one person who has ever said "thank you" for such a reward? Would you say yes if you were offered 30 million to get shot to death today?
