Just a couple improv jams, nothing too fancy or special, but I was entertained. Only recorded a couple little bits.

Here's one using a string patch:

And then a deep pipe organ (it's a bit ominous so I figured why not apply the negative filter):

Love music here, cant play a damn thing. Took piano lessons as a kid for a few years and never made it past row your boat or chopsticks.

My little bro picked up a guitar when he was like 4 and pretty much had it figured out the next day.

Seems like you have the music inside and know how to express it.

Cool texture and soundscape on the deep pipe organ. The string patch .. sounds almost like circus music to me...

NICE!!!

I wish I was that musical. Would love to be able to sit down and just play some music. Also to be at your level and able to do a little free style music.

Friend is giving me guitar lessons on Sunday so it is a start.

Right on, I've known folks who didn't start guitar until they were retired, never too late as long as you keep up with practicing!
You could totally do game music!
You oughta hear it when I'm in an 8-bit/16-bit mood

So when are you getting your korg touring keyboard?
I think I'm pretty well set as far as keys, I don't like full piano-weighted keys since I'm not a piano player, semi-weighted all day for me. Right now I'm pairing this Gaia with a Yamaha Reface DX, covers a lot of sonic ground, got some great e-piano sounds on there.

Not a fan either (not that I can play). They feel weird. I would prefer as light as possible. Or maybe haptic piano keyboard.

I searched and found this: https://roli.com/eu/product/seaboard-2

Too bad it's so expensive.
I'm not necessarily about unweighted keys either, but especially with heavier actions, it can tire my muscles out too quickly. They're just intended for a different style of play and expression, and not what I'm looking to do. The bar where I jam at has an old Wurlitzer console piano with really light action, that one I don't mind playing.

Maybe something like the Microfreak would be more approachable for you. I find the idea of the flat keys unappealing, but I also haven't tried one.

Wow that was good.

What kinda keyboard is that? A yamaha?

Every few months I sorta have nostalgia about getting a keyboard again.. especially everytime I see someone playing impromptu stuff.. I'd love to be able to play the interstellar riff.

Roland Gaia SH-01, a virtual analog synth from a while back. It's an interesting device, they sort of took one of their existing MIDI modules and grafted the synthesizer portion onto it, so you can still access all the General MIDI patches in it with an external controller. There was a bit of a hullabaloo about it being marketed as "virtual analog" when it's actually more of a rompler. IDGAF, it makes sounds I like and plays well

This really reminds me of something and its driving me up the wall trying to work it out!

Maybe a Cure song?

Ti's good though!
Wouldn't surprise me, I'm a big Cure fan. Thanks!
Btw @nakedfrog ever try playing an entire multi track all by yourself??

I never knew metal is basically 20th century classical till I saw this a few months back.

Yeah, I've done all the instruments on a couple tracks I've put out for compilations. Sometime in the next year or two I'm planning to do the old school NIN thing and do all the writing/playing/programming myself for a project.
